The Team

The Ultimate Party Barn

Nestled amidst the honey-colored stone villages and rolling hills of the Cotswolds, a grand Victorian manor house stands as an embodiment of timeless elegance. While its exterior blends seamlessly into the picturesque landscape, its interior pulses with a modern secret. Inside, a state-of-the-art concert sound system, installed during a meticulous renovation, transforms the home into a private entertainment haven capable of rivaling the most exclusive nightclubs.

The Challenge

Separate from the main family home was an area named by the family as “The Studio” – the homeowner, a passionate musician, wanted to entertain in multiple ways and with different people. “The Studio” is made up of one large area where the family wanted to have a Golf Simulator that could double up as a home cinema, a bar where people could congregate and socialize, a pool table, a desk for work, and a piano and living area where people could sit facing the stunning views.

Adjacent to the main room within “The Studio” is an indoor kitchen and dining area for hosting dinner parties. Outside, a glistening swimming pool beckons guests on warm days, and a hot tub for unwinding, complete with an outdoor kitchen, so guests don’t have to go inside for drinks or food. The brief was to have concert-grade sound for throwing the best parties for family and friends, whatever the weather, creating the ultimate home nightclub experience.

The Solution

Inspired by their visit to the L-Acoustics Highgate Showroom, the homeowners embarked on a journey to create an extraordinary audio experience within their historic Cotswolds manor. Partnering with UK L-Acoustics CPi Homeplay, a collaborative team of manufacturer, integrator, architect, interior designer, and client meticulously designed a bespoke soundscape.

L-Acoustics’ Home & Yacht application team employed Soundvision software to strategically position loudspeakers throughout the seven audio zones, ensuring optimal sound coverage. A 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos L-Acoustics system envelops the Cinema & Golf Simulator Area, while a 13.1 immersive system surrounds the pool, creating an unparalleled outdoor entertainment experience. The home nightclub boasts a pair of A15i loudspeakers with KS21i subwoofers, discreetly integrated into a linen fabric wall for a powerful yet elegant audio solution.

The Result

The project’s success was evident in the exceptional sound quality achieved, making it one of the best systems calibrated by L-Acoustics engineers. The versatile media room met all the homeowner’s requirements, providing an immersive entertainment experience. Further enhancements, such as outdoor audio systems, contributed to an ambient outdoor space, mirroring indoor quality and innovation.
