Christian Heil
Founder & President
Led by a strong affinity for live music and fueled by the inspiring sound of a 1977 Pink Floyd concert, quantum physics researcher Christian Heil pursued a passion that would become his life’s work: developing sound solutions to elevate the listening experience.
Christian founded L-Acoustics in 1984 and revolutionized the live audio industry in the 1990s with the invention of line source technology, enhancing sound control over audiences of any scale.
With the innovation of LISA Immersive Hyperreal Sound technology in 2016, L-Acoustics, once again,
transformed how the world experiences music in both live and recorded environments.
L-Acoustics continues its impressive trajectory, creating new, revolutionary sound solutions that connect humans through the best shared sound experiences. The company’s significant growth and impact is a testament to Christian’s vision and passion.
Hervé Guillaume, co-CEO of L-Acoustics, has been instrumental in the group's consistent growth since its inception. He first encountered L-Acoustics in 1994 during a one-year internship prior to his master's degree during which he laid the foundations for financial controlling and reporting and built the first American V-DOSC system in Los Angeles. Since then, he has been pivotal in supporting L-Acoustics through its significant developments, encompassing the industrialization of production, international expansion, M&A operations, and the current diversification into new sectors. Hervé's vision ensures the group's steady and long-term growth.
Before rejoining L-Acoustics to oversee its Accounting Department, Hervé served as Branch Assistant Director for a major French bank. He has also held the positions of Administration and Finance Director and later Managing Director of L‑Acoustics. With the development of the group, he now heads the holding company, L‑Acoustics Group.
Born in Paris into a family of entrepreneurs, he discerned early on that a cohesive and passionate collective can achieve the extraordinary. Hervé holds a master's degree in Economics and Business Administration. Residing in Paris, he dedicates his leisure time to skiing, hiking, and cherishing moments with his family in the French Alps.
Laurent Vaissié holds the position of Co-CEO of L-Acoustics, with supervision centered around business operations and strategy worldwide.
Prior to his appointment as global CEO in 2019, Laurent joined L-Acoustics in 2011 to lead the company's operations in North America, driving growth by developing vertical fixed installation markets and introducing L-ISA technology to live music tours and residencies.
Before joining L-Acoustics, Laurent worked on advanced laser technologies in various technical and business leadership positions for over a decade. He holds a Ph.D. in Optics and Lasers from the University of Central Florida and is an alumnus of École Centrale Marseille and UCLA's executive program.
Laurent is based in the USA, and is an avid enthusiast of music, motorcycles, and the outdoors.
Anne Hamlett oversees the divisions in service of people within and around L-Acoustics, including Human Resources which recruits top talent and elevates each team member’s experience, Education Division which supports the growth and development of product users and the team, and Legal Division which ensures compliance to reach L-Acoustics' business, corporate, and intellectual property objectives.
As Chief People Officer, Anne works with a team spread around the world to create conditions for success and to bring L-Acoustics’ vision to fruition. She oversees the definition and development of an appropriate organizational structure, a culture that enables the team to perform at their best, and the international expansion of L-Acoustics Group, having recruited over 1,000 team members who demonstrate our values of passion, creativity, and courage daily.
Before joining L-Acoustics, Anne managed personnel, social, and hiring projects for a Paris IP firm. She also worked with the CEO of a printing company conducting contract negotiations.
Anne holds a postgraduate degree in Business Law. She comes from a family of entrepreneurs who have always aspired to unite entrepreneurship and innovative enterprise culture and values.
Florent Bernard and his team design the support and education programs that ensure professionals worldwide masterfully deploy L-Acoustics' sound reinforcement systems.
Working closely with the R&D department, Florent and his team bring field experience to the conception of L-Acoustics' solutions. His objective is to ensure that all products meet the technical excellence the L-Acoustics is known for and making them easy to use.
An esteemed system engineer himself, Florent has designed audio for international acts such as Radiohead, Peter Gabriel, and Nine Inch Nails.
Born in Nice, Southern France, Florent studied Biochemistry while also managing his brother's rock band. A stint designing sound for the band enticed him to consider a profession in sound, allowing him to blend creativity with a focus on technology.
Christophe Combet
Executive Director of R&D, Product Development
With an MSc in Fundamental Physics and a lifelong passion for sound and music, Christophe Combet serves as Executive Director of R&D at L-Acoustics. In this capacity, he leads innovation in loudspeakers, electronics, and software development, driven by a keen interest in product design, disruptive technologies, and elevating sound performance.
Christophe's contributions to L-Acoustics’ legacy of innovation have been pivotal and include the development and introduction of K1 and K2 speakers, which have become industry benchmarks for large-scale events, stadiums, festivals, and global tours. His personal experience as a musician, seeking the "perfect concert sound," deepened his understanding of sound systems and led to his involvement in the live implementation of L-ISA technology with Syva speakers, as well as playback with L-Acoustics products, the Island and the Bubble, alongside his music group Yapa.
Thibaut Jouanin leads our division responsible for transforming Research and Development concepts into world-class finished products using industrial methods.
From sourcing materials to assembly to quality control and supply chain, Thibaut and his team ensure that the L-Acoustics promise of quality, reliability, and longevity is apparent in each finished product. He and his team constantly aspire to improve their operation's efficiency.
Thibaut has over 20 years of manufacturing experience, starting as a Methods Engineer to leading the L-Acoustics Group Industrial Team. Previously, he worked for a major international car manufacturer.
Born in Paris, Thibaut studied Engineering at Ecole Centrale. As a child, he taught himself to play the drums and formed a band with his friends. He lives in Paris-Saclay, France, and spends his spare time playing sports and the drums in a jazz-rock group.
Guillaume is a sound technology expert with dual MSc degrees in Electrical Engineering and Signal Processing from École Centrale Paris and IRCAM, and a Ph.D. in Acoustics.
After a stint as a professional rock musician and indie label manager, he co-founded AudioGaming, an award-winning audio tech startup. He joined L-Acoustics in 2009, leading R&D in acoustic measurement, simulation, and signal processing.
He has been based in London since 2012, where he has spearheaded immersive audio research, resulting in the global deployment of L-ISA technology at major live events with artists like Lady Gaga and Bon Iver. In 2024, he took charge of broader research and innovation at L-Acoustics.
Outside of work, Guillaume enjoys running, music, and baking desserts with his family.
Cédric oversees the Application team supporting the go-to-market of disruptive and innovative technology and providing technical expertise to flagship projects globally. He also works closely with the R&D division, ensuring L-Acoustics provides exceptional sound solutions to its partners worldwide.
His team works with venues and sound designers from conception through implementation and beyond, guaranteeing high-impact sound reinforcement and stunningly pristine voice intelligibility.
Cédric has over 18 years of experience in the sound industry and created the Installation team at L-Acoustics after spending several years working with different sound providers in Paris. His work includes mixing, sound design, and training professionals in sound engineering.
Cédric also co-founded a non-profit organization providing cultural opportunities for children and families in Madagascar and elsewhere.
Born in Dunkirk, France, he’s a classically trained saxophonist who studied the science of cinema, sound, and music at Paris’ Louis Lumière University. Cédric lives in Paris, France where he enjoys running, boxing, and playing music.

Jacob Barfoed
Global Director of Sale and Sales Operations
Jacob leads the Global Sales, Sales Operations, and Customer Service Teams at L-Acoustics, driving global customer satisfaction.
Before L-Acoustics, Jacob worked at Sony Professional where he spent nearly two decades in various leadership capacities, most recently leading their European Medical Sales Division. His international experience in Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States has given him a deep understanding of diverse markets. A seasoned sales leader in the IT and services industry, Jacob excels in partner management, go-to-market strategy, and sales management.
Jacob holds a bachelor’s degree in international business from Copenhagen Business School. He lives in Copenhagen with his wife and two children, enjoying sailing, traveling, and cooking in his free time.
Françoise serves as the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at L-Acoustics, transforming the company’s long-standing goals into a structured, measurable, and deeply human-centered CSR strategy.
Prior to L-Acoustics, Françoise worked for Danone for over 16 years. Her background is in sustainable development, stakeholder engagement, and systems thinking. She is a conductor of change, harmonizing people, planet, and purpose and leads with empathy and collaboration, working across teams and diverse stakeholders to embed sustainability into every aspect of business.
Françoise also fosters partnerships with NGOs and global initiatives. She is an Executive Board Member of UNITAR, UN agency and of international NGOs Make Mothers Matter and Youth for Women Foundation which champion gender equality, social inclusion, and impact. She is also President of Be Family which promotes Family Friendly workplaces.
Françoise is based in Massy, France, and has four children.
Christophe Combet
Executive Director of R&D, Product Development

As Global Director of Education, Etienne governs education strategies and their implementation for the people of L-Acoustics: its team, product users, partners and more. Rooted in its foundations, education at L-Acoustics has expanded to all relevant disciplines with a strong focus on sound to facilitate the adoption of new technologies and to amplify product impact.
Etienne first joined L-Acoustics the team in 2017 to create L-Acoustics' scientific outreach strategy, developing research centered on the best use of advanced sound technologies and creating an interface between L-Acoustics and the scientific and education communities.
Before joining L-Acoustics, Etienne developed 3D audio technologies for consumer and professional applications, in roles ranging from research scientist to chief technology officer. Etienne holds a PhD in Acoustics and Signal Processing from Paris Sorbonne University, and an Engineering degree from IMT Atlantique.
Based in Marcoussis, France, Etienne is a longtime drummer, nature lover, and fly fisherman.
Vincent Delaunay
Executive Director of Administration & Finance
Vincent Delaunay joined L-Acoustics in 2001 as Head of Finance when L-Acoustics was a small team of 30 people. He became Executive Director of Administration & Finance in 2019, managing L-Acoustics’ financial activities.
Vincent and his team provide key data to support daily strategic decisions and anticipate future financial and administrative business operations. Before joining L-Acoustics, Vincent worked at a mobile start up. Prior to that he was in finance, starting in banking, then working as a financial controller on a logistics platform for a wine and spirits company, followed by retail.
Vincent holds a Master’s in Management Science. Outside of his professional life, he is a sports enthusiast and keen rugby player who also enjoys traveling and listening to music.

Genio started his career in audio at age 14, playing in bands and repairing equipment for professional sound reinforcement companies. He steers electronics strategy at L-Acoustics and has built a team of engineers committed to ensuring L-Acoustics speakers deliver the best sound and seamlessly integrate into any deployment.
He founded the L-Acoustics Electronics Department in 2009, overseeing development of all electronic products, from hardware and firmware to DSP algorithms, testing, and networks.
A born entrepreneur, Genio founded his first company to develop audio electronics after receiving his electronics degree.
In 2000, he co-founded DFM, developing signal processing hardware for major international players in the audio domain. Through DFM, he began working with L-Acoustics in 2006 on the LA8 amplified controller project.
Genio is from Lahr in the Black Forest region of Germany and enjoys playing the keyboard, refurbishing an old cottage farm, reading, and taking road trips throughout France where he now lives.

As Executive Director of Product Management at L-Acoustics, Sherry leads the Product Management team, managing the full lifecycle of L-Acoustics’ products portfolio including Loudspeakers, Electronics, Software, Services and Solutions.
Sherry brings diverse experience in both hardware and software industries, spanning Product Management, Sales, Product Marketing and Operations. Before joining L-Acoustics in 2024, Sherry held leadership roles at GE Digital and multiple GE businesses, in Product Management, Strategy and Operations, and led multibillion-dollar business transformations.
Sherry is also passionate about elevating global tech leaders through volunteering. She serves as a mentor and advisor for startups and founded and hosts a podcast bringing meaningful insights from senior industry executives to inspire the growth and development of global technology leaders.
Sherry is based in the L-Acoustics Westlake Village office. She enjoys outdoor adventures in the hidden wonders of California with her family, and the journey of cultivating her family’s dedicated young musicians.

Ayoub drives L-Acoustics' information technology, digital transformation, and cybersecurity resiliency roadmaps.
The vision of the IT & Digital Division is to make L-Acoustics a digitally empowered company that leverages cutting-edge technology to deliver operational excellence, foster a culture of innovation, and prepare future business models.
Prior to joining L-Acoustics, Ayoub held senior positions in consulting companies such as Executive Partner at InFact Group and Senior Director of Architecture at Oracle, as well as Group CIO/CTO positions in companies such as ArcelorMittal, Aperam, Infovista and Servair.
Ayoub holds an Engineering Degree in Information Systems, a Dual Executive MBA, an Executive Doctorate, and completed a post graduate leadership program in AI from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Ayoub is based in Lille, France, where he enjoys music, traveling, research and advising innovation labs.
As Executive Director of Communications at L-Acoustics, Audrey has led the company’s communications strategy and driven its remarkable achievements, from elevating the brand in far reaching media coverage, to creating impactful content and orchestrating groundbreaking events internationally. Leading a dynamic team of talented professionals at L-Acoustics, her contributions have been recognized with a Gold Globee® Award for Women in Leadership.
With a creative mind and an aesthetic sensibility, Audrey has over 25 years of experience in branding, communication, and marketing strategy, working with brands and institutions as diverse as Citigroup, Chanel, The Fashion Institute of Technology and fine jeweler, Repossi.
Born and raised in Paris, Audrey holds a degree in Journalism and Communications from The University of Georgia and a Fashion Design degree from Parsons School of Design. A former New York Indie and radio DJ, she is passionate about music, fashion and cultural trends. She resides in Los Angeles with her family.
Bryan oversees all L-Acoustics North, Central, and South American operations, sharing his time between L-Acoustics’ global hub in Westlake Village, California and the creative hub at Nashville Yards, Tennessee.
Bryan spent five and a half years as president of Group One Limited, the North American distribution arm for brands such as DiGiCo, Calrec, Solid State Logic, Sound Devices, and several other leading pro audio and lighting manufacturers.
Prior to that he held executive management positions at Harman, most recently as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Americas for Harman Professional Solutions, managing the retail, live performance, large venue, hospitality and enterprise channels for Harman brands across the American continents. He has also held the role of COO for Alfred Music Publishing, as well as management positions with Guitar Center.
Bryan earned a BA from Colorado State University as well as an MBA from California Lutheran University.
As CEO of L-Acoustics’ APAC region, Timothy oversees the Singapore entity, developing business operations and strategy in the APAC market.
After joining L-Acoustics in 2021, Timothy spearheaded the company’s first regional operations and established the APAC hub in Singapore. Under his leadership, Timothy’s team provided exceptional customer service with high efficiency. In 2024, he expanded the APAC market strategy by establishing a regional logistics and distribution center.
Timothy brought over a decade of experience in the audio industry to L-Acoustics. He served as the APAC business leader at BOSE in the US. In Japan and China, Timothy held both product and business leadership positions.
Timothy holds a master’s degree from Webster University and is based in Singapore. He speaks English and Japanese and enjoys music and swimming.
Thierry Rieb
Managing Director, SIMEA
Thierry is President of SIMEA, L-Acoustics’ woodworking site in Keskastel, France. With nearly 42 years at SIMEA, Thierry’s leadership is deeply rooted in hands-on experience and a lifelong commitment to craftsmanship and operational excellence.
He began his career as a cabinetmaker and steadily progressed through every level of the organization—serving as Production Operator, Team Leader, Production Manager, Technical Director, and ultimately President. His journey reflects a rare and invaluable depth of practical knowledge and leadership built from the ground up.
Thierry holds a CAP and Brevet de Compagnon (Journeyman’s Certificate) in cabinetmaking. He has been part of L-Acoustics since 1988 and officially joined in 2007. He always strives to lead with humility, dedication, and a deep understanding of his craft.
Thierry was born in Sarre-Union, France and has two children.
Reiner Sassman
Managing Director, CAMCO
Reiner first stepped into his Managing Director role at CAMCO, an L-Acoustics company specializing in electronics manufacturing, in 1986 and has held the position and ensured the company’s success ever since.
Driven by his passion for music, electronics, and entrepreneurship, Reiner co-founded CAMCO in 1983, just after completing high school. Starting his career as a sound engineer, he focused on developing and distributing high-powered pro audio amplifiers.
With his vision and hands-on approach, Reiner guided CAMCO through steady growth, building a strong industry reputation that ultimately led to its acquisition by the L-Acoustics Group in 2016.
Based in Cologne, Germany, Reiner leads an active life outside of work. A passionate skier and motorcycle enthusiast, he shares his love for adventure and audio with his large family.
Michael serves as Managing Director of HGP, L-Acoustics’ metalworking site based in Amboise, France.
A graduate of EUDIL, Polytech'Lille, he began his career in quality and industrialization before moving into product development, business growth, and product line management. He later led manufacturing sites in both plastic compounding and injection molding. His international experience spans across France, Germany, and the United States, bringing a global perspective to operational leadership.
Michael lives between Nantes and Amboise, France with his wife and three children. He is passionate about motorcycles, metal music, and the sea.
