L-ISA Hyperreal

Hear the Connection. Feel the Sound.

“If I were to prioritise what we are bringing to the people out there, it’s what goes in their ears. What we’re trying to do is make it an experience. I just want them to walk away changed or moved.”

Justin Vernon, Bon Iver

L-ISA Hyperreal delivers an ultra-realistic shared sonic experience by connecting sound precisely with its visual source on stage. Every sonic element, from vocals to instruments, feels natural and life-like. Utilizing a multidimensional frontal speaker array, the L-ISA Hyperreal solution is a fit for any size production looking to create the ideal listening experience.

With & Without L-ISA Hyperreal

Live Sound. Hyper Realized.

L-ISA Hyperreal aligns sound perfectly with its visual source, ensuring the audience perceives the exact location of every sound. This creates a stronger connection between what is seen and heard, enhancing the overall performance.

L-ISA Hyperreal eliminates sound distortions found in traditional designs and achieves unparalleled clarity and realism by ensuring every sound element remains clear and
distinct. Audiences can enjoy the most
authentic reproduction of every instrument, voice, and effect.

L-ISA Hyperreal bridges the gap between the audience and the artist. Every listener feels intimately connected to the art, as if they are right there in the middle of the performance, sharing a profound and unified experience.

L-ISA Hyperreal unlocks the ideal listening experience for the entire audience, delivering pristine sound quality to every seat. With L-ISA Hyperreal, everyone can enjoy the same exceptional audio, not just those at the FOH mixing position.

L-ISA Hyperreal’s powerful spatial audio engine adapts seamlessly to any venue, large or small. Experience pristine audio that preserves the artist’s intention, regardless of the event’s scale or location.

The Magic Behind L-ISA Hyperreal

Sound System

L-ISA Hyperreal technology utilizes a strategically designed loudspeaker and subwoofer configuration to create a truly immersive audio experience.

Content

Audio content from both live sources (microphones, instruments) and pre-recorded material is processed and spatialized. The system supports various input formats and provides tools for managing and manipulating audio objects within the L-ISA environment. This enables seamless live performances and pre-produced content integration for a cohesive, immersive experience.

Process & Control

L-ISA Hyperreal seamlessly blends hardware and software components to revolutionize live event audio. At its core, the
L-ISA Processor empowers sound engineers to manipulate
and spatialize audio in real-time, crafting hyperrealistic sound experiences. This is further enhanced by the L-ISA Controller, a software interface providing intuitive control over object-based mixing, spatial audio processing, and show control. Together, they enable precise sound placement within a 3D space, dynamically connecting a performance's audio and visual elements.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, an L-ISA system may only need 5 sources at minimum (L/C/R + 2 or 5 equally spaced loudspeakers across the stage)
Most L-ISA systems have a similar total acoustic power to Stereo deployments, though this energy is distributed differently: across the width of the performing area as opposed to conventionally deployed left/right systems and may often use a smaller loudspeaker series compared to Stereo. With this in mind, an L-ISA system may not only have a similar acoustic power but provide better sightlines across the performing area as opposed to Dual Mono / Stereo configurations.
Generally, stability is easier to find in an L-ISA system because a source (object) comes from one array, reducing the mono comb filter behavior found within a Dual Mono / Stereo system, but will be a slight reduction in energy due to the artist being directly in front of the PA.
L-ISA technology has a Stereo Mapper algorithm that allows the L-ISA System to take full advantage of the multi-array system resources for stereo content to preserve the stereo imaging while also being able to utilize the low frequency benefits of the centrally-deployed subwoofer system.
Users can use L-ISA Studio to mix and prepare content ahead of any production with binaural audio and also supports up to 16 outputs for non-live applications as in pre or post-production environments, completely for free.
L-ISA Source and Group Control plugins are offered in VST, AAX, and AU formats and are compatible with any DAW .
L-ISA can create spatial delay and fill systems through the Spatial Fills algorithm, providing immersion to nearly every area within a venue. Additionally, L-ISA also supports Mono, Stereo, and LCR downmixes that can be used as fill systems if needed.
In an L-ISA Hyperreal system, the centrally-located subwoofers ensure a homogenous frequency response and consistent coverage across the entire venue. This placement also optimizes system timing, combining the advantages of both Stereo and Mono subwoofer configurations while minimizing potential drawbacks. The result is a well-balanced, immersive low-end experience for the audience.
Yes, by using L-ISA Studio and the Desktop Processor, the L-ISA mix and its outputs can be rendered into a Dolby Atmos ADM File targeted for distribution and playback
Yes, Dolby Atmos can integrate with L-ISA by using dedicated hardware that can decode Atmos content which can be played back in an L-ISA System.
